Crews battle blaze at Manhattan Western Wear store

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) No injuries have been reported in a fire that broke out in Manhattan early this morning.

The Manhattan Fire Department was called to the Short Go Western Wear Store at 420 Tuttle Creek Boulevard at 5:50 am.

The fire started in the front of the store and quickly blew through the roof.

Fire crews went into defensive and contained the fire shortly after.

Around two dozen Manhattan fire fighters, Riley County Police, and Riley County EMS are on the scene.

The store is a complete loss, but no estimate on damages at this time.

The cause is still unknown.

Crews will remain on the scene for several more hours.
