Colorado man arrested for drugs during I-70 traffic stop

Shawnee County authorities say a Colorado man is in custody after a traffic stop along the interstate recently.

The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office says Casey McNurney, 36, was pulled over on I-70 about a mile west of Auburn Road on Friday, Sept. 14.

Authorities say McNurney was driving a pickup, towing a trailer when he was pulled over for having expired registration.

Deputies later found approximately 110 pounds of marijuana and 13 pounds of THC edibles -- all of it worth more than $370,000 on the street.

McNurney was booked into the Shawnee County Jail and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
