Marleah Campbell The City of Marysville is helping you explore history — in your own backyard!
The city will host its third annual Museum Day on April 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"We just wanted our locals to get a feeling for what was in our museums,” Michelle Whitesell, director of tourism for the City of Marysville, said. “So many of them said, 'Oh yeah, I drive by this building all the time, but I don't really know what's in it.’ So Museum Day was kind of born out of that.”
Entry will be free to all four of Marysville's museums, and four museums in surrounding cities, including Waterville, Blue Rapids, and Summerfield.
“It's not just for locals though,” Whitesell said. “We definitely want visitors come to town."
Last year, over 500 people joined in on the fun at Museum Day.
