Child hit by vehicle suffers life-threatening injuries

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A child suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit by a vehicle Tuesday night.

Topeka Police say it happened just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of SW 4th and Taylor. 13 NEWS crews at the scene saw a bicycle wedged under the front passenger side of a four-door sedan.

The child was taken to the hospital with injuries that were considered life threatening. The driver of the vehicle was not hurt.

Topeka Police did not release any details on what happened, or an exact age of the child. TPD's Accident Reconstruction Team was at the scene investigating.
