KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WIBW) -- The Kansas City Chiefs signed former New Orleans Saints defensive end Alex Okafor to a three-year on Thursday.
According to the NFL Network, the deal is worth up to $24 million. The exact number has not been confirmed yet, but the Chiefs organization did confirm the signing with a tweet.
Okafor, 28, suffered a torn Achilles late in the 2017 season after recording 4.5 sacks in ten games in his first year as a Saint. He then came back in 2018 to start all 16 games for New Orleans, notching four sacks.
He has 22 sacks in 68 career games, and is entering his seventh season.
