KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WIBW) - The Chiefs will be without the reigning MVP for their next game.

Head coach Andy Reid announced on Friday that quarterback Patrick Mahomes will not play in Sunday night's matchup against the Green Bay Packers. He was a limited participant in practice this week as the star signal caller recovers from a dislocated right kneecap.

Mahomes sustained the injury while converting a 4th down on a quarterback sneak in the 2nd quarter of the Chiefs' 30-6 win over the Denver Broncos on Oct. 17.

Also missing the game for Kansas City, according to Reid, will be defensive lineman Chris Jones, offensive linemen Eric Fisher and Andrew Wylie, defensive end Frank Clark and cornerback Kendall Fuller. However, Reid said wide receiver Sammy Watkins will be playing.
