(WIBW) -- The Kansas City Chiefs have officially re-signed fullback Anthony Sherman to a one-year deal after the news first broke last week via Pardon My Take Podcast account Leroy Insider and Field Yates of ESPN.
Sherman, 30, is entering his ninth NFL season and seventh with Kansas City. The former University of Connecticut star joined the Chiefs in 2011 in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals, which received cornerback Javier Arenas.
Since the trade, Sherman has started every regular season game for Kansas City, totaling 20 carries for 53 yards and 50 catches for 414 yards and three touchdowns.
This past season was Sherman's first Pro Bowl selection.
