Carl's Jr. creates CBD-infused burger for 4/20

(WIBW) -- A national hamburger chain is embracing 4/20 this weekend by introducing a new burger infused with hemp-based CBD oil. On Wednesday, Carl’s Jr. revealed its Rocky Mountain High: CheeseBurger Delight.

The new sandwich will only be available for one day and one store – on April 20th in Denver, of course.

“We’re thrilled to be the first quick service restaurant to be testing CBD infused options.” Carl’s Jr. SVP Patty Trevino said.

To make it a munchies-approved burger, Carl’s Jr. laced its Santa Fe Sauce with the CBD oil, which is locally-sourced, naturally, from a Colorado company. The sauce tops two beef burgers, pickled jalapeños, pepper jack cheese, and Crisscut fries.

So, if you happen to be passing through Colorado on Saturday, you can try one at the Carl’s Jr. at 4050 Colorado Blvd. They’ll serve them all day starting at 6 a.m. local time. The price: $4.20.
