TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A driver was injured Friday afternoon when the car he was driving went off the road at a busy Topeka intersection, crashed through a fence, and ended up on its roof.
Authorities say the white sedan left the road east of the SW 10th Street and Wanamaker Road intersection. After going through the fence, it flew across a creek, and flipped over when it landed.
The driver, whose name was not released, was extracted from the upside-down car and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
A firefighter told 13 NEWS the man was alert and talking while still at the scene.
