MULVANE, Kan. (WIBW) The lights are back on in a southeast Kansas town after a car crash left residents in the dark Thursday night.
According to KWCH-TV, a car crashed into a power pole that supports the main line of power for the town of Mulvane.
The accident happened at 103rd and South Rock, which is on the north end of the city.
Mulvane is home to more than 6,000 residents -- who all reportedly lost power.
Officials told KWCH the driver was able to walk home but was later taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Mulvane School District was forced to call off classed Friday morning because it was unclear when power was going to be restored.
