TOPEKA (WIBW) -- 13 News has honored Shawnee Heights Class of 2019 senior Annie Harris as one of our Good Kids this month. We're thanking her for spreading the news about the Care Closet at their school. It helps students choose food, clothing or even hygiene items to help them feel and look their best this school year.

You might have spotted Annie as part of the large group helping pack lunches for teens through work in the HOBY (Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership) organization started by the famous actor. Annie also puts her talented musical hands to work in what's a joyous task of performing with the Topeka Cello Collective and Erinn Renyer.

Annie also participated with other students in our area in Washburn's Leadership Challenge. She's actually planning on attending KU beginnning in the fall to major in Biochemistry.. Best wishes, Annie Harris!
