MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Learning more about the human body was the goal of Saturday’s Body Science Saturday at the Flint Hills Discovery Center in Manhattan.
Guests could tour the exhibits including the ‘Zoo in You’ exhibit along with visiting the seven community partner booths to learn more about the human body.
Kids and adults could learn about how blood works, what lungs look like after smoking, and learn proper hand washing along with other health and body related activities at the booths located throughout the Discovery Center
Body Science Saturday saw nearly 400 people during the four hour event Saturday,
“It is an event tied into our ‘Zoo in You’ exhibit for kids and families to come learn from our partners all about different aspects of the human body, human health, fitness, healthy eating, So it’s been a really fun day.” Flint Hills Discovery Center, Curator of Education, Stephen Bridenstine says.
