Blind Tiger gets a German makeover for Oktoberfest

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Blind Tiger Brewery and Restaurant is bringing a slice of Germany to Topeka for a few weeks later this month and planning a big Oktoberfest celebration.

On September 21 - with a shout of "Ozapft Is" (or "It is served) - the restaurant start pouring six traditional German-style beers in traditional German-style glasses, delivered to you by servers in traditional German-style clothing.

They'll be serving:

  • Maibock,
  • Kolsch,
  • Pils vom Fas,
  • Kristal Weizen,
  • Weizenbock, and,
  • Oktoberfest

The menu's getting a makeover too with bratwurst made in Blind Tiger's own beer, soft pretzels, cheese soup with ham and bacon, and, of course, strudel.

The pop-up celebration will last until October 6, the restaurant, at 37th and Kansas Ave. said.
