Bellwethr receives $2.5 million in seed funding to expand company

WAMEGO, Kan. (WIBW) - A company in Wamego hopes to expand after raising more than 2.5 million dollars in seed funding for the company.

That company is called Bellwethr, and CEO Matt Moody says he got the idea for the name comes from the word bellwether, which means indicator of trends or one who takes initiative.

Bellwethr was founded in Wamego and continues to grow with employees working in Wamego, Manhattan, and Kansas City.

Bellwethr provides supervised machine learning and artificial intelligence access to a variety of clients.

“We use a form of machine learning and artificial intelligence to really help businesses optimize their retention.” Bellwethr Automations Executive Nick Koch explained.

Moody also says the seed money they received will be used to help them expand their company.

“Presented the opportunity for investors, and what we would be doing with the funds, how we’d be utilizing that to expand the company.” Bellwethr CEO and Founder Matt Moody says.

Bellwethr is continuing to grow and hopes to provide companies with machine learning and Artificial intelligence to empower anyone and any organization.
