Reports: Basketball legend Kobe Bryant killed in helicopter crash

Multiple outlets are reporting former Los Angeles Lakers basketball star Kobe Bryant is among those dead from a helicopter crash. He was 41 years old.

TMZ was first to report the news, while outlets like Variety, ESPN, the Los Angeles Times and many others have also reported it.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department tweeted five people died from a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, which is in Los Angeles County. Bryant was reportedly one of the passengers killed.

He is considered to be one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He was a five-time NBA champion, two-time NBA Finals MVP, the 2007-2008 league MVP, an 18-time NBA All-Star and 15-time All-NBA honoree.
