LAWRENCE (WIBW)- Lawrence Police say an arrest has been made in connection with the deadly shooting at a Lawrence motel on Saturday.

On Tuesday, authorities say Tyrone J. Carvin, 19, is currently in custody in Kansas City on a warrant issued in relation to the shooting.

Carvin suffered from a gunshot wound during the shooting, and was treated and released from a Kansas City area hospital.

He will later be brought to Douglas County to face charges including first degree murder, aggravated battery, and aggravated assault.

Officers say they were called to the Motel 6, in the 1100 block of N. 3rd, around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.

When they arrived they found three male victims sustaining life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police say Cameron A. Hooks, 23, died from his injuries. The other victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Authorities originally thought there were only 3 people shot. After further investigation they determined that Carvin had also been wounded, making for 4 gunshot victims.
