Adults with disabilities honored for their determination

Adults with disabilities had some fun in the sun Wednesday with games and awards.

Capper Foundation held a Summertime Fun Day for adults who use their Day Service program. The Foundation says it encourages everyone involved to continue toward their goal.

"These people work hard on different things all year and as long as we can we try to magnify the great things they do and they do so many good things that we don't even think about," said Eric Lind, an employment specialist.

They started the morning with games, then held the coveted Capper Awards, where adults were honored for their many accomplishments.

After the awards, everyone enjoyed a barbecue lunch and headed back outside for more games.
