$500 reward for info offered after puppy's ear is cut off

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) -- A Wichita animal rescue is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the person or people responsible for cutting a puppy's ear off.

Beauties and Beasts, Inc. posted images of the puppy on Facebook Saturday night.

The barely month old puppy, now named Brooks, was brought to the Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital of Wichita after he was found with his right ear cut off with a sharp object, possibly scissors.

The rescue says Brooks needs emergency surgery immediately. They are asking for donations to be made online here.

The WPD animal cruelty investigator has opened an investigation and information or tips can be submitted to hfraizer@wichita.gov.
