TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Topeka Police Dept. arrested a second man Wednesday in connection with a late August food truck robbery and identified him as a suspect in another armed robbery that took place the previous day.

Victor A. Arellano is accused of teaming up with Javier A. Martinez on August 29, 2019, to hold up the Ibannos Grill Food Truck. Investigators say both men entered the taco truck around 7:40 p.m., armed with handguns, and demanded money.

Martinez, 29, was arrested the next day, TPD said.

The day before the food truck robbery, Arellano allegedly went into the Panderia Monterrey Bakery around 3:20 p.m. and robbed it at gunpoint.

TPD says Arellano, 21, was booked into the Shawnee Co. jail on two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of theft, and single counts each of aggravated assault, driving while suspended, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
