2019 Troy Scroggins Award winners honored at Tuesday's city council meeting

Council members honored this year's recipients of the Tray Scroggins Award Tuesday night.
Three people were chosen:
Larry Robbins was honored for his work advocating for equal opportunity staff development in his position with Topeka Public Schools.
Edith Gaines was chosen for educating the community on how race impacts health.
Chris Omni earned the award for her ability to gather diverse groups of people and empower them to advocate for the needs of the community.
The Human Relations Commission selects the honorees.
