KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) -- An 18-year-old man died in a shooting in Kansas City, Kansas, police there said.
The shooting was reported around 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Victory Hills neighborhood, the Kansas City Star reported. Arriving officers said they found the teen dead on the front porch of a home. It appeared the teen was accosted further down the street and ran back to the house, police spokesman Officer Thomas Tomasic said. The teen's name had not been released by midday Saturday.
Police went door to door in the neighborhood in search of any witnesses or video that might have captured the incident. Police have not reported any arrested by Saturday afternoon.
The teen's death marked the second homicide this year in Kansas City, Kansas.
