TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Somewhere in northeast Kansas, someone bought a Super Kansas Cash lottery ticket worth a cool million dollars.
According to the Kansas Lottery, a ticket sold around in northeast Kansas hit the jackpot Wednesday night, matching all five numbers, plus the Super Cash Ball! By the time of the drawing the top prize was worth $1,088,070.
If you haven’t checked your numbers yet, they are:
2-3-15-23-26, Super Cash Ball: 12
The Kansas Lottery did not say specifically where the ticket was sold, only that it was somewhere in the 20 county northeast Kansas region.
“It’s always exciting when our Kansas Lottery players hit the jackpot in a Kansas-only game,” said Stephen Durrell, Executive Director of the Kansas Lottery.
It’s the first time anyone has won since April of this year when a ticket worth a record $6.7 million dollars was sold. Durrell did have an important piece of advice for any winner.
“We want to remind the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they are ready to claim it,” he said. The winner has 365 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
For Saturday, the Super Kansas Cash jackpot Saturday drops back to $100,000.
