TOPEKA, Kan. (THE DRIVE) The twelfth ranked Mountaineers beat the Wildcats 35-6 with Heisman candidate Will Grier. Grier threw for 356 yards and five touchdowns while K-State couldn't get into the end zone once.
Neither QB, Thompson or Delton could get anything going on the ground or threw the air. The defense couldn't stop Greir from just throwing over them.
The Wildcats have been inconsistent and now might have another quarterback decision on their heads. What seemed to be Thompson as the clear winner isn't so clear anymore. K-State will have to figure things out before Texas comes into town, coming off of a big win against TCU.
Kansas had finally won back to back games and was looking strong on both sides of the ball but the Jayhawks could not pull out a win in Waco, losing to Baylor 26-7.
The Bears jumped out on Kansas, leading 23-0 at halftime. Quarterback Charlie Brewer threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns. David Beaty's offense couldn't get anything going. All three of his quarterbacks saw playing time, with Peyton Bender throwing for the most yards at 105. But the team couldn't sustain drives, getting just four third down conversions in 13 attempts.
The Jayhawks will face Oklahoma next.
