There’s truly no place like home for this Kansas native! I am extremely excited to be working in the community that raised me, and to be able to tell all of the wonderful stories that accompany all of you wonderful people.
My story starts when I was a little girl, glued to Kansas City Chiefs games on Sundays with my mother and my grandmother. After graduating from Jefferson West High School in 2012, I went to Butler Community College for 2 years to play volleyball and to begin reporting on the Grizzlies. After my time at Buco, and many volleyballs to the face later, I took my clumsy talents to the University of Kansas. In August of 2017, I graduated as a Jayhawk with a Bachelor’s of Science in journalism and a minor in psychology—then immediately shipped off for the next 8 months to KALB-TV in Alexandria, Louisiana.
When I’m not watching any and all sports I can get my hands on, I’m usually hanging out with my friends or my two cats, Mantis and Maze. I have done animal rescue for the past four years, so usually I’ll have a couple of foster kittens to complete my little zoo. Some of my hobbies include CrossFit, playing volleyball, watching random Netflix documentaries, planning my next trip to the beach and watching weather maps during the Kansas storm season.
Please don’t hesitate to strike up a conversation with me! I’m always excited to meet new people and to hear new stories, while telling a few of my own. And NEVER hesitate to talk Chiefs football with me!
