I am an east coast girl excited to be in the Sunflower State! I was born in Woodbridge, Virginia and raised in both Virginia and Charleston, South Carolina. I was bitten by the journalism bug at a young age, frequently pretending to be a news reporter or anchor with friends.

Years later, I was able to put my make believe skills to work as a Video Journalist with the College of Charleston student news organization, Cistern Yard Media. I also worked as a Production Assistant with the local ABC news affiliate, WCIV-TV in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

After graduating from the College of Charleston in 2014, I moved back to the Washington, D.C. area and hosted the independent news show, The Square Circle. Soon after, I landed a Media Specialist position with the U.S. Shadow Representative of the District of Columbia, Franklin Garcia. In this role, I hosted the Representative’s local news show, D.C. Statehood Today.

In my free time, I enjoy reading in the park, volunteering, and theatre. A little fun fact about me is that I appeared in Netflix’s House of Cards as a news reporter!

I hope to give a voice to individuals who may otherwise be unheard, and I am looking forward to telling the stories that matter most to Topekans. Be sure to follow me on social media to see when I am out and about!
