LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) - Tyson LeBlanc set a new single-season home run record in his lone season with Kansas baseball in 2026. Now, he’s the first member of the Jayhawks to be selected in this summer’s MLB Draft.

LeBlanc was selected by the Detroit Tigers with the 61st-overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2026 MLB Draft.

The pick carries an approximate value of $1.52 million. LeBlanc was named to the All-Big 12 1st Team in 2026. He transferred to KU after 2 seasons at the junior college level.
