TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Ichabods won their series against the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith this weekend, extending their winning streak to four games.

Pitcher Kai Bennett started the Ichabods off with a scoreless first inning in game one. He totaled seven innings with eight strikeouts and only two runs allowed.

Levi Risenhoover hit a homerun in the first inning and finished the game with four RBIs. The Ichabods won game one 9-3.

Washburn started game two with five runs in the first inning, advancing to second and third off of wild pitches. Brandt Beeby hit a triple to centerfield with 2 RBI, then scored on a wild pitch to bring to Ichabods up 5-2.

The Ichabods rotated three different pitchers throughout the game, including Maclane Finley throwing five, Griffin Huiatt in two and Blake Priest rounding out the eighth inning. Washburn kept the Lions at bay, winning 13-3.

In the final game, Washburn shutout Arkansas-Fort Smith 10-0 with a homer from Levi Risenhoover in the fifth. Risenhoover and Easton Wasinger both led the Ichabods with 4 RBIs.

The Ichabods will travel to Hays to take on Fort Hays State on Tuesday, April 14.
