Crews respond to crash on US-75 south of Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Traffic on northbound US-75 highway was backed up about a mile during rush-hour Wednesday morning after a two-vehicle crash in south Topeka.

The crash was reported around 7:10 a.m. in the 4700 block of S.W. US-75 highway.

A white pickup truck came to a stop in the left southbound lane of US-75 on a bridge above Interstate 335 on the Kansas Turnpike. The truck’s front-end appeared to be near a concrete barrier on the west side of the bridge.

Meanwhile, a maroon car came to rest a short distance north of the bridge. The car had heavy rear-end damage. It also had damage to its passenger side.

Additional details, including whether anyone was transported to the hospital, weren’t immediately available.
