WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Hundreds of kids came out to Stryker Sports Complex in northeast Wichita for the first youth football camp put on by Kansas City Chiefs star wide receiver, Tyreek Hill. Camp participants were broken up into age groups and went through drills and skill work.

Hill said he planned to get out on the field and challenge the participants, all while having fun. He said he wants the young athletes to learn something new, but mainly just to enjoy themselves at the camp.

“To see this many kids out here, it means a lot to me because that means I got a lot of support,” Hill said. “And for kids, I’m just going to come out here and bring as much energy as I can because as a kid, I wanted to have a moment like this. I used to idolize Randy Moss and people like that and dream of going to their camps, but to have this moment, it’s just amazing.”

Hill, nicknamed “Cheetah,” said he planned to cut time out of the end of the camp to race any camper who was up to that challenge.

The camp was sold out by Thursday afternoon. Information on other camps can be found at www.flexworksports.com. The event is presented by Renewal By Andersen.
