MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Riley Co. Police said they made an arrest at a Manhattan apartment complex Wednesday night, but they still will not say what led to the situation.

A Riley Co. Police spokesperson confirmed officers were at The Links apartments, near Marlatt and Casement Roads. He said some residents were asked to leave their apartments.

A neighbor told 13 NEWS they saw at least a half dozen police cars and an ambulance arrive in the area around 6 p.m.

RCPD said officers were beginning to clear the scene just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, and residents asked to leave could return. A spokesperson said officers “made an arrest peacefully in this investigation.”

RCPD said more information would be released when it was available.
