TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - As we’re now halfway through our calendar pages for the month of March, we honor 3 Manhattan Good Kids who helped design some cool calendar art. You may not know during all the COVID news, that KDHE also has a Bureau of Waste Management. But that part of the department recognized these three young ladies and 10 other students, in their 2021 calendar competition for art work to grace the pages of each month. Ella Wang had the winning entry among all the 1st graders in the state. She’s from Amanda Arnold Elementary in Manhatttan. Celia Courtright (middle) is the 5th grade winner. Celia’s attends Marlatt Elementary. And the 6th grade calendar page was submitted by another Good Kid from Arnold Elementary, Abigail Wondra.

We’re also posting the picture of Governor Laura Kelly on our WIBW Good Kids page on Facebook, featuring Ella’s entry. All the winners can be seen in the KICK Calendar, Keep It Clean Kansas, to get more of our outstanding elementary students into preserving our environment. We’d also like to mention that Ishaan Vinod from Marlatt Elementary also has a page as the 3rd grade winner. Congratulations to all of them... nice job!
