Washburn’s Tyler Geiman named MIAA Player of the Week
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Washburn senior guard Tyler Geiman has been named the MIAA Player of the Week following a career-high 29 points in the No. 5 Ichabods’ overtime win Saturday.
Geiman added nine rebounds, six assists and three steals as the Ichabods fought back from a 12-point deficit to beat Northeastern State 85-84 in OT.
Geiman leads the team in scoring with 17.3 points per game, as well as rebounding with 6.7, steals with two and assists with 6.6.
This marks the second honor of its kind for the Stillwell, Kansas-native. The MIAA tabbed him their Player of the Week in his junior campaign on Dec. 16, 2019.
The Ichabods return to action on Thursday to take on top-ranked Northwest Missouri at 7:30 p.m. in Bearcat Arena.
