TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -

Update:

Police have arrested Austin Langley, 40, in connection to the stabbing.

Police were called around 9:10 Thursday night to the firework stand in front of the Dillon’s on 21st and Fairlawn on reports of a stabbing.

When police arrived, they found a victim suffering from a stab wound.

According to police, Langley allegedly came up from behind and stabbed an employee of the firework stand and then left on foot.

Langley was found a couple of blocks away and taken into custody.

The victim is in serious condition.

One person is in custody after a Topeka stabbing.

The stabbing happened near the Dillons on 21st and Fairlawn.

Topeka Police say one person was taken to the hospital. They also took one person into custody.
