Sioux Falls

Temperatures will once again be seasonably mild, despite an increase in clouds through the day. With fairly dry low level air and a strengthening southerly wind, this will help to create a very high fire danger over much of the area today. The thickening clouds are in advance of a disturbance which will move across Nebraska and into Iowa. Rainfall will expand and spread slowly northward as well, but should be largely limited to areas south of interstate 90, mainly from eastern Nebraska into Iowa. Friday will find a break from precipitation, but a strong warm front and disturbance will bring the threat for some severe storms by later Saturday to the southeast half of the region.
