...UNSEASONABLY WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS ALONG WITH BREEZY NORTH
WINDS WILL BRING HIGH FIRE DANGER TODAY...

.AN INCREASE IN NORTHERLY FLOW WILL BRING BREEZY NORTH WINDS TO
PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST COLORADO THIS AFTERNOON. THE STRONGEST WINDS
OF 15-20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 25 TO 30 MPH WILL OCCUR FROM LARIMER
AND WELD COUNTIES SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE FORT MORGAN...BYERS...AND
LIMON AREA. TEMPERATURES WILL BE UNSEASONABLY WARM WITH VERY LOW
HUMIDITY READINGS. FUELS ARE QUITE DRY AS WELL...ESPECIALLY
GRASS. ANY NEW FIRE STARTS COULD SPREAD RAPIDLY THIS AFTERNOON DUE
TO THE DRY CONDITIONS.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR
WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST COLORADO...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG
WARNING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
UNTIL 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING.

* AFFECTED AREA...FIRE WEATHER ZONES 238...242...243...244...
245 AND 246.

* TIMING...NOON UNTIL 1900 MDT.

* WINDS...NORTH 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...NEAR 10 PERCENT.

* IMPACTS...THE VERY DRY CONDITIONS AND GUSTY WINDS COULD LEAD TO
RAPID GROWTH OF NEW FIRE STARTS ESPECIALLY IN THIS SEASONS WELL
CURED GRASS.
