.STRONG TRADE WINDS ARE PRODUCING ROUGH AND CHOPPY SURF TO
EXPOSED EAST FACING SHORES THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK. IN
ADDITION...A LONGER PERIOD NORTH-NORTHEAST SWELL WILL ARRIVE
TODAY...AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND...ADDING TO THE SIZE OF
THE SURF.

THROUGH TODAY...AND MAY EXCEED HEIGHTS OF 10 FEET THIS
WEEKEND.

* TIMING...HIGH SURF WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

* IMPACTS...ROUGH SURF WILL MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS ALONG
EAST FACING SHORES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING RIP CURRENTS AND LOCALIZED BEACH
EROSION. IF CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT...DO NOT TRY TO SWIM AGAINST
THE CURRENT. INSTEAD SWIM PARALLEL TO SHORE UNTIL YOU ARE OUT OF
THE CURRENT AND THEN SWIM TOWARD SHORE. FORECAST SURF HEIGHTS ARE
ESTIMATES OF THE HEIGHT OF THE FACE...OR FRONT...OF WAVES.
