THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL
NEVADA...NORTHEAST NEVADA AND NORTHWEST NEVADA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

NO SIGNIFICANT WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

ON SATURDAY MORNING A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL QUICKLY SWING THROUGH
NORTHERN NEVADA. A BRIEF PERIOD OF MODERATE SNOW AND GUSTY WINDS
WILL OCCUR ALONG THE FRONT. VALLEY SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL RANGE
FROM 1 TO 3 INCHES...WITH THE HIGHER AMOUNTS EXPECTED OVER
NORTHERN ELKO COUNTY AND ALONG THE BASE OF THE RUBY MOUNTAINS.
HIGHER AMOUNTS OF SNOW WILL OCCUR ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF
ELKO COUNTY.

IMPACT-WISE...COULD SEE A 1-2 HR WINDOW OF MODERATE SNOW FOR ANY
GIVEN LOCATION IN ELKO COUNTY SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH EARLY
AFTERNOON. DRIVING WILL BE IMPACTED ALONG MOUNTAIN CITY
HIGHWAY...US 93 NORTH AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80...AND ALSO
INTERSTATE 80 THROUGH ELKO COUNTY...INCLUDING PEQUOP SUMMIT AND
EMIGRANT PASS. SNOW WILL QUICKLY TAPER OFF FROM NORTH TO SOUTH ON
SATURDAY.
