A small disturbance will move across the Southern Plain States on Friday into Saturday. This will bring a chance of a rain/snow mix to Eastern Kansas on Friday.
Accumulations will be minor, less than 1 inch, if anything at all.
However, the timing of the system may cause some slick roads on Friday Afternoon and Evening.
Initially rain showers will develop around mid-day on Friday, then as cold air filters in from the North, the rain will change to snow by Friday evening. Depending on how quick the change-over occurs, the Friday PM rush-hour may be a little on the slick side.
Light snow showers will continue into Friday night but come to an end by sunrise on Saturday. A dry but cold weekend will follow.
