...FIRST FREEZE OF THE SEASON POSSIBLE TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY
MORNING FOR ALL LOWER ELEVATIONS AROUND THE COLUMBIA BASIN...

.A COLD FRONT HAS PASSED OVER THE REGION USHERING IN MUCH COLDER
AND DRIER AIR TO THE REGION. CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS WILL
ALLOW FOR STRONG RADIATIONAL COOLING TO OCCUR OVER THE NEXT COUPLE
OF NIGHTS RESULTING IN TEMPERATURES AT OR BELOW FREEZING. THIS
PROVIDES A HIGH LIKELIHOOD OF A HARD FREEZE IN MANY LOWER ELEVATION
AREAS IN AND AROUND THE COLUMBIA BASIN.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PENDLETON HAS ISSUED A FREEZE
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TUESDAY TO 10 AM PDT
WEDNESDAY.

* TEMPERATURES: OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES WILL DROP TO BELOW 32
DEGREES AND BELOW TONIGHT AND AGAIN TUESDAY NIGHT.

* IMPACTS: CROPS AND SENSITIVE VEGETATION MAY BE DAMAGED OR KILLED
WITH PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES. PRECAUTIONS
SHOULD BE TAKEN TO PROTECT SENSITIVE VEGETATION.
