MEXICO CITY (AP) -- Tropical Storm Blanca was downgraded to a tropical depression off Mexico's Pacific Coast and continued to weaken further on Wednesday.
Forecasters at the U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami say the system is expected to head over cooler waters, losing even more steam over the next day or two.
Blanca was located about 720 miles (1,160 kilometers) west-southwest of the tip of the Baja California Peninsula, and was heading west-northwest at 10 mph (16 kph).
The storm had maximum sustained winds near 30 mph (45 kph).
