"March in like a lion, our like a lamb"

We have all heard the story about how March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb, but what exactly does that mean? Well at the beginning of March an average day as far as temperatures go would be a low of 27 and a high of 48 and by the last day of March those averages go to a low of 37 and a high of 62. So the saying has everything to do with temperatures warming drastically through the month.
