With the drought intensifying and temperatures well above 100, the Kansas State High School Activities Association is reminding schools about heat guidelines and hydration as fall sports season approaches.

Storm Damages Portion Of Homes Due To "Microburst."

Kansas finally received some much needed rain Wednesday but one isolated area had to deal with much more than that. People on North Topeka Boulevard near the Shawnee / Jackson County line saw gusts up to 70 miles per hour when the storm blew through around 5 PM.

Two Dead in Kentucky Home Lightning Strike
