THEY COME IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES...SOME SOLID...SOME HAVE HOLES. THEY'RE CHUNKS OF SNOW THAT CATCH YOUR EYE ALONG THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. ...AS IF SOMEONE WAS TRYING TO ROLL UP A BIG SNOWBALL.

WELL NO HUMAN HANDS TOUCHED THESE...THEY WERE ALL MADE BY MOTHER NATURE.

THEY'RE CALLED SNOW ROLLERS. A RARE WEATHER PHENOMENON WHERE STRONG WINDS BLOW CHUNKS OF SNOW TO CREATE THIS.....AND THIS. TO THE AMAZEMENT OF THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE.

WE FOUND THIS FRONT YARD IN FAIRFIELD COUNTY WITH DOZENS AND DOZENS OF SNOW ROLLERS. THEY'RE EVEN SOMETIMES CALLED SNOW DONUTS...FOR GOOD REASON. IN THE END ITS QUITE A SIGHT MUCH LIKE A HAY BAIL THAT SITS IN THE FIELD DURING THE SUMMER.
