One World Trade Center, Spire Lit, Building At It's Tallest

One World Trade Center had it's spire lit up on Friday evening, (11/8), reaching the symbolic height of 1,776 feet. The Durst Organization and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey conducted a test of the lighting. Now architects are meeting in Chicago to determine whether the building is now the tallest in the United States. Formerly the Sears Tower, the Willis Tower in Chicago, Illinois currently holds that distiction.
