Topeka Police Enter Phase III Accident Reporting

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police reported multiple wrecks around the Capital City Wednesday night due to slick roads.

Because of large volume to calls, the agency entered its walk-in accident reporting phase around 5:30 pm. During this status, officers only will be dispatched to accidents involving injuries, disabled vehicles and hit-and-run. People involved in minor accidents should go to the Law Enforcement Center later to complete accident reports.

TPD is advising people to limit travel to emergencies only until the weather and roads clear.
