The lack of precipitation throughout the state of Kansas has produced an increase in drought conditions. Last week 20.68% of the state was not in a drought while this week that number fell to 12.48%. This is due to most of central to eastern KS downgrading to the category 'Abnormally Dry' which can be seen in the bright yellow. Last week 38.64% of the state was in 'Abnormally Dry' conditions while this week is 46.84%. Unfortunately this week will lack precipitation chances with all chances this week running at about 30% of rain or even snow and totals equaling less than 0.10" of precipitation.
