Little change was noted between last week and this week with the drought. With the exception of a very small area of 'abnormally dry' area in eastern KS the dry conditions continue in western KS.
The breakdown throughout the state of Kansas is as follows:
51.47% is without a drought
48.53% is in 'abnormally dry' conditions
40.59% is in a 'moderate drought'
31.61% is in a 'severe drought'
3.16% in an 'extreme drought'
The first half of the work week will bring wet conditions to the sunflower state with latest indication of at least 0.25". Could see as much as 2.50" in southeast KS through Thursday morning.
