MIDNIGHT.

* IMPACTS...ADDITIONAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD GENERALLY BE LESS
THAN ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH...MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE
FROM BATON ROUGE TO HAMMOND TO POPLARVILLE. ADDITIONAL SNOW AND
SLEET AMOUNTS OF AN INCH OR SO ARE POSSIBLE ESPECIALLY IN
SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI AND THE ADJACENT LOUISIANA PARISHES. IN
ADDITION...A HARD FREEZE IS LIKELY ON WEDNESDAY MORNING ACROSS
THE ENTIRE AREA AND WIND CHILL VALUES IN THE SINGLE DIGITS ARE
POSSIBLE TUESDAY NIGHT AND EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* MAIN IMPACT...DRIVING CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE TO BE EXTREMELY
HAZARDOUS IN MANY AREAS TONIGHT...ESPECIALLY ON ELEVATED
SURFACES SUCH AS BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES. TEMPERATURES ARE NOT
EXPECTED TO RISE ABOVE FREEZING FOR ANY SIGNIFICANT PERIOD OF
TIME BEFORE NOON ON WEDNESDAY...SO HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS
ARE LIKELY TO PERSIST INTO WEDNESDAY. IN ADDITION...ICE
ACCUMULATIONS OF A QUARTER OF AN INCH HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE
SIGNIFICANT PROBLEMS WITH POWER LINES AND TREE LIMBS BECOMING
TOO HEAVY TO MAINTAIN THEIR INTEGRITY.
