Extremely Windy Conditions On Thursday

A strong cold front will blast across Kansas on Thursday. There is not much moisture for this front to work with so most areas will remain dry, although a few sprinkles or flurries will be possible. There is also not much cold air with this front as high temperatures will be in the 40s on Thursday.

However, there is a lot of wind behind this cold front. Winds will be out of the Northwest today, gusting in upwards of 45-60mph for most areas. Generally speaking, the strongest winds will be across portions of North-central and Northwest Kansas.
