On Saturday, September 15Th, Concordia reached an afternoon high of only 53 degrees. This missed tying the record lowest high temperature for that date in history by 1 degree. In 1902 the high only got up to 52 so that was the coldest afternoon high Concordia had ever seen on September 15Th. What we can say about the cold weather on Saturday is that it is one of the strongest Arctic blasts to surge South so early in the season.
